Grohe, a leading global provider of premium sanitary fittings for bathrooms and kitchens, has come up with yet another innovative product that adds a strong touch of style to the bathroom.

Quadra — the name which is derived from the German word ‘Quadrat’ for ‘square’ — combines both square and cylindrical shapes to offer a mixer that incorporates beauty and technology.
Speaking on the new designer fitting, Tino Kaissar, the marketing manager for Grohe’s sales office in Riyadh, says: “Modern rooms call for creative ideas, which blend different design trends and discard conventional layouts in favour of innovative interior design items. The Quadra combines both square and cylindrical shapes in an emotional and soft geometry for a perfect cosmopolitan style.
“The Quadra single-lever mixers capture the clear structures of modern architecture and blend them into lightly flowing lines. It transcends the boundaries of minimalism and enriches it with purity and lightness to provide a softer and more personal touch.
“The ergonomic lever with its unusually straight shape sets a new trend by virtue of the inwardly-inclined loop, which gives the lever an inviting look and makes it particularly pleasant to touch.
“The square-shaped base supporting the faucet body recalls the shape of the lever and ensures an aesthetic transition to the washbasin, thereby creating an emotional tension between the faucet and the basin.”

Invisible technology
The spout is far from ordinary as well. While its cuboid form fuses with the cylindrical shape, the purity of the design is further emphasised by the concealed aerator which never distracts from the beauty of the geometrical lines.
"This sense of minimalism, freed of any visible technology, also extends to the wall rosettes used for the concealed fittings. Perfectly plane, without any bolts or fasteners, they reflect a commitment to clarity and simplicity, which the manufacturer has encapsulated in the motto ‘absolute design’,” says Kaissar.
Belying its non-technical appearance, Quadra is all about technical sophistication on the inside, he says. “The 28 and 35 mm cartridges, for instance, are veritable marvels of engineering. Grohe SilkMove, a proprietary Grohe technology, ensures the unique lightness of the lever action, resulting in pleasantly accurate water control. Grohe StarLight is used to protect the chrome surfaces against scratching and soiling. These faucets and fittings retain their brilliant sheen for a long time, delivering on the manufacturer’s promise of ‘absolute technology’ on a day-to-day basis,” continues Kaissar.

Complete range
Quadra basin mixers come in various sizes for free-standing units and as wall-mounted two-hole basin mixers. As far as showers and bathtubs are concerned, there is a choice between exposed mixers and concealed mixers as well as a tub mixer with Sena shower set and a bidet mixer.
