IN line with its commitment to develop the most advanced and productive software solutions for the structural steelworks industry, AceCad Software has launched the latest version of its ultimate management information system for steelwork fabricators.
The StruMIS .NET V7.3 delivers even greater business benefits through powerful, intuitive and flexible steelwork dedicated software technology, according to the UK-headquartered software solutions specialist.
Says a company’s spokesman: “The StruMIS .NET streamlines the estimating, procurement and fabrication process by providing seamless interaction between departments, suppliers and clients, delivering the most up-to-date processing, tracking, planning and reporting facilities through .NET software technology.”
The StruMIS .NET V7.3 incorporates the current Microsoft Office 2007-style “Ribbon” toolbar for navigational ease and enhanced user orientation. A new wizard enables straightforward creation of personalised reports, delivering flexibility and company-specific reporting. With added search and report functionality associated with closed contracts, estimates and enquiries, StruMIS .NET V7.3 delivers powerful selection and filtering advantages.
The latest version contains a significant number of new features and added functionality including more than 150 new enhancements. An all-new function that has been developed for StruMIS .NET V7.3 is called Transaction Interfaces.
“This innovative function allows users to integrate purchase and sales invoices together with internal organisational costs and expenses into a number of third-party software accounting systems. Transactional interfaces enable significantly increased integration for the complete management, production and now accounting of steelwork organizations,” the spokesman says.
To further improve production automation and advanced system usage, StruMIS .NET V7.3 now supports the use of radio frequency (RF) bar coding tools to enable workstations/users to rapidly move items through the production module, throughout the various stages of manufacture. As an intermediate step, if any of the processes require an inspection stage, the production process can be set to require inspection. AceCad works with leading bar coding organisations to provide integrated software and hardware.
A new report called contract cost code summary, shows details by cost code of sales invoices and expenses including aspects such as purchasing, employee expenses and material allocation for a contract. This provides a simple overview of contract costs and may be viewed instantaneously to ensure budgets are easily managed.
AceCad is a leading supplier of software solutions to the international structural steel industry since 1986. “With core business areas in the building and construction, and process and power industries, AceCad’s products have consistently transformed its customers’ business in the steelwork fabrication supply chain. The company also has a dedicated hardware business that provides its customers with the best price performance available on the market today,” says the spokesman.
