A WIDE range of advanced repair and protection products and services from the US-based Enecon is now available in Saudi Arabia through its exclusive agent Sherbiny Chemicals and Environmental Solutions.

Enecon, a leading developer of polymer technologies, offers some of the most effective polymer systems for waterproofing all types of buildings and structures. Roofs, decks, swimming pools, cooling tower pans, machinery and equipment rooms and garages, are only a few of the problem areas where the composites are used daily.
Eneseal HR is said to be ideal for repairing and protecting a wide variety of roof problem areas that can often cause 90 per cent of all roof leaks. These include joints and seams, gutters, glazing bars, coping stones, walls and flashings, says the company.
“It is a single-component, water-based, liquid ceramic-filled membrane which cures to a durable, seamless, flexible ‘skin’ that refracts and reflects heat while providing a moisture-resistant barrier to virtually any type of surface – insulation, plastics, concrete, bricks, blocks, slate, tiles, wood, metal, bitumen, glass and tar/asphalts,” says a spokesman for Sherbiny Chemicals.
It is easily applied by brush, roller or spray and being water-based, the clean-up is quick and easy with soap and water. It is also completely non-toxic and non-flammable, he adds.
For the waterproofing sector, Enecon’s portfolio includes Enecrete WP and Enecrete WS, which have been specifically engineered to stop active water leaks and water seepage through masonry walls and floors.
“WP is a cementitious, one-component, and extremely fast-setting product with the ability to stop water seeping through masonry structures. It is designed to be mixed with water and to stop the leak in less than a minute, develops strength immediately, is chemically-resistant, does not shrink or expand significantly, has excellent freeze-thaw resistance and exhibits thermal expansion properties similar to concrete,” says the spokesman.
Enecrete WS is a protective and waterproofing product for masonry structures, employing a multiple curing reaction process to providing waterproofing, chemical resistance and adhesion. It is a dual-component product that is easy to prepare and apply in the field and is capable of solving two common problems in industry – concrete attack and water infiltration.
Eneseal MP is a single-component, water-based, ultra-low viscosity weather barrier which dries to a completely invisible, water-repellent masonry sealer. It provides extraordinary weather protection to virtually all types of concrete, masonry and mineral surfaces, says the company.
Sherbiny Chemicals also offers a range of other products from Enecon such as Eneseal CR, a single-component, water-based coating which dries to a highly durable, corrosion-resistant, elastomeric ‘skin’ that provides environmental protection to metal and concrete or masonry surfaces.
It can also be applied as a top coat over most zinc primers and is a ‘surface-tolerant’ coating system that does not require abrasive blasting. It exhibits excellent adhesion to all types of ferrous metal as well as galvanised surfaces. Mechanical wire brushing, grinding or high pressure water blasting is typically acceptable to achieve good adhesion.
Enecon’s high-performance polymer composites support effective concrete repair, providing cost-effective and commercially-proven solutions to a wide variety of concrete problems on floors and wall.
Among these products is DuraQuartz, a three-component, 100-per-cent solids, concrete repair compound specifically formulated and precisely engineered to provide solutions to even the most difficult concrete repair and protection problems, he says. It can be used to repair critical areas subject to shock, impact, abrasion and chemical attack such as containment dikes and troughs, spillways, chemical loading, storage, and transfer areas, pump bases, anchor bolts, setting and grouting tiles.
It is resistant to a variety of industrial chemicals and will bond with virtually any rigid surface including metal, wood, tile, terrazzo, granite, marble, brick and even glass. It is extremely versatile and can be mixed to any consistency – from a viscous liquid to a stiff mortar.
Enecon’s range for the construction sector includes Eneclad high-performance polymer systems formulated for concrete floors; and Chemclad systems, which are chemical-resistant claddings available for floor protection in a wide range of chemical attack and high wear applications.
