UNIVERSAL Paint and Chemical Industries (Chemipaint) is introducing an environment and ecological-friendly waterproofing system called Chemiroof.

“Our management and employees are committed to the product’s regional impact. The waterproofing system was developed to support the Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, he says.
”Masdar City, one of the most ambitious sustainable development cities in the world today, aims to minimise energy consumption and waste – with a motto ‘reduce, reuse, recycle and recover’. To be able to support Masdar, Chemipaint has come up with Chemiroof waterproofing, which is a high-build water-based, low VOC (volatile organic compounds) emission and recyclable system,” he says.
“When it is applied, the system provides a seamless, aesthetically-pleasing coating resulting in an excellent waterproofing that is elastic and ensures low dirt build-up. Its elasticity enables it to withstand significant crack and building movements, providing a barrier coat for severe weather conditions, wind-driven rain, salt spray and ultraviolet (UV) exposure,” the spokesman says.
Masdar City will be the world’s first zero carbon and zero waste city powered entirely by renewable energy sources. “The Chemiroof system will help in saving the ecosystem and Masdar project to be the most attractive and clean city in the Middle East,” he adds.
Chemipaint aims to satisfy the needs of contractors and customers with a comprehensive range of products, backed with years of experience in the Middle East, technology and technical consultations.
It manufactures heavy-duty industrial maintenance products such as epoxy systems, two-pack polyurethane paints, thermoplastic acrylic paints, industrial flooring coats, waterproofing systems, elastometric and anti-carbonation paints, chlorinated rubber paints, Pliolite acrylic solvent-based paints, cement curing compounds, block fillers, acrylic putty caulks, latex putties, patching compounds and a range of specialty and decorative paints and equipment to various application fields.
