ABC of industrial tools on show
Echo Byoun International (EBI) was looking to widen its reach in the region when it showcased an extensive range of ABC Tools at The Big 5.

The Dubai-based firm, the exclusive distributor of these tools in the Middle East, has newly been established by Saudi Arabia’s multi-disciplinary trading and distribution firm Byoun International Group (BIG) and Echo Research and Development, a leading Italian supplier of industrial tools, workshop and laboratory equipment.

Echo Research & Development manufactures a wide range of industrial tools, workshop and laboratory equipment in accordance with high Italian standards. Byoun International has a large network in the field of international trading, which includes import and export of heavy and specialised industrial equipment.

At The Big, 5 EBI promoted a range of 36,000 products within the ABC Tools portfolio.

Exeed displays diverse portfolio
EXEED Industries showcased its diversified portfolio of entities and their operations at The Big 5. The show provided the right platform to promote its array of infrastructure and building materials as well as other sectors such as petrochemicals, metals, agro and private equity investments, the company says.

The industrial arm of the leading Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate National Holding, Exeed is one of the specialised manufacturing and investment companies with operations spanning the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
“Exeed Industries is focused on investing in the manufacturing sector with a long-term perspective. Our team of experts, involved from the early developmental phases of the company, works towards creating sustainable and profitable businesses,” said Dr Ahmad Khayyat, chief executive officer of Exeed Industries.

Telschig promotes cement handlers
GERMANY’S Telschig Verfahrenstechnik presented at The Big 5 a select range of cement handling products and applications that boast major benefits in terms of development, competence, and flexibility.

“Decades of experience in this business enable us to now offer our customers a complete range that is technically robust, and has proved its worth time and again on the building sites of the world,” said Horst Telschig, managing director.

“Our cement-handling machines ensure high availability, and have been operating successfully for many years even under extreme climatic conditions. Since buildings sites are often located in regions with only rudimentary infrastructure these machines must cope with widely differing requirements. We provide the technology to ensure a reliable flow of materials to underpin our customers’ concrete production targets,” he added.

PaintExpo looking up
MARKET and technology leaders will take part in the PaintExpo 2010, which will focus on the process sequence for industrial painting technologies.

PaintExpo, to be held from April 13 to 16, 2010, at the exhibition centre in Karlsruhe, Germany, is attracting high interest from suppliers and service providers, according to the organiser.

“As a result of its highly representative and comprehensive offerings, PaintExpo has great international appeal for the users,” said Juergen Haussmann, managing director of show promoter FairFair.

“At the same time, as opposed to so-called surface finishing trade fairs, the exhibitors know that the expert visitors are interested exclusively in industrial coating technologies. And thus PaintExpo is highly efficient for both groups,” he adds.

More power to polymers
POLYMERS in Photovoltaics 2010 will bring together photovoltaic module and component manufacturers, researchers and test institutes, together with suppliers to the industry, and end users.

Organised by Applied Market Information (AMI), the expo will provide an opportunity to network with top experts and examine photovoltaic manufacturing innovations and challenges. The event will be held from April 20 to 22 next year, at the Maritim Hotel in Cologne, Germany.

BP Solar, one of the top companies in solar power worldwide with an active role in new manufacturing developments, will give the opening presentation. Photovoltaic technology has the potential to turn barren desert into high-value power plants, rooftops into income, and to generate electricity in remote locations.

Asbestos risks outlined
A COMMUNITY lecture has refocused attention on the use of asbestos and its safe handling.
Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) has revisited issues related to the use of asbestos and safe removal and handling of asbestos containing materials in buildings during its 11th community lecture for the year at the Emarat Atrium Building, Dubai.

Organised under the theme ‘The Risks of Asbestos Usage’, the seminar discussed in detail safe working procedures while dealing with asbestos containing materials.

Resale picking up
RESALE 2010, a trade fair for used machinery, will open its doors for the 16th time with an estimated 500 exhibitors. Organisers Hess and KMK say the show, which will be held from April 21 to 23 next year, at Karlsruhe, Germany, is expected to attract about 10,000 visitors from more than 110 countries.
