Tiger Profiles has been exhibiting at the show for the past four years. “The quality and prestige of the show as well as the response and attendance rates have encouraged us to keep coming back,” says Rosy Salameh, assistant CEO for the UAE-based company. “The show helps us tap the market as it attracts visitors not only from the GCC, but also the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.”
In 2008, it won three Gaia awards that included the only gold and two silver.
Tiger Profiles will be exhibiting its entire product line that includes T-Seam standing seam roofing and cladding systems; sandwich panels; concealed fix wall panels; various dimensions of single-skin sinusoidal and trapezoidal metal construction panels; a range of profiles panels and accessories; and the award-winning Solacoat heat-reflecting coating range and Solasteel pre-coating heat-reflecting products.

The product line presented by Tiger Profiles encompasses roof panels, wall panels, floor decking panels, steel and aluminium profiled sheeting, partitioning, composite sandwich panels, concealed fix wall panels, pre-insulated partitions and cold store panels, standing seam systems (known as T-Seam), and cold-formed sections – both standard and customer-specific – and all the required accessories.
In addition, Tiger Profiles is the sole distributor in the Middle East, Asia and Africa for SolaCoat and SolaSteel Gold and double silver award-winning heat-reflecting coatings.
Tiger Profiles, with a workforce of 140, extends design, engineering, manufacturing, supply and installation services to its clients, thus placing it in a position to serve its clients as a one-stop shop catering to all its product related needs.
The gold Gaia Big 5 2008 award-winning Solasteel is a revolutionary, environment-friendly pre-coat.
“This high heat-reduction coating provides much lower heat build-up in buildings. University tests show a solar reflectivity of upto 74.1 per cent. By using Solasteel, less or no insulation is required, and it boasts longer gloss retention than existing pre-coated solvent-based polyester material. Solasteel is significantly competitive in that, being a water-based acrylic, it is more resistant to breakdown by ultraviolet (UV) rays and thus lowers energy costs, while being a non-hazardous coating (low VOCs),” she says.
“Solacoat is one of the most efficient and cost-effective forms of heat insulation commercially available today. It is a waterborne acrylic emulsion-based product, which has a special membrane additive that aids in repelling the infrared rays from the sun, thus preventing heat from penetrating residential or commercial buildings,” she says.
The Solacoat line comprises a comprehensive range of products that caters to a variety of needs and includes pavement coatings, concrete coatings and railway coatings.
Commenting on the market she says: “The UAE market seems to be picking up slowly but surely. We anticipate increased activity in other GCC countries, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.”
During the past period, Tiger Profiles has also expanded into new territories.
It has been involved with a number of prestigious projects including T-Seam roofing for the ice skating ring in Dehradoon, India, Al Barsha Mall and Meydan receiving barns complex, Dubai, Al Ain University and College of Business Studies, girls campus in Kuwait; tapered T-Seam roofing for Paragon Mall project on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi; decking panels for Burj Khalifa, Dubai, and Emirates Aluminium Company (Emal); and decking profiles for the new highway/flyover on Wahda Street, Sharjah. It has also supplied roofing for Masdar Institute of Technology, and Solacoat eco-friendly heat reflecting coating for Bab Al Qasr Hotel and serviced apartments in Abu Dhabi.
Commenting on the company’s plans for the future, she says: “We are in a constant state of evolution and work on upgrading and renewing our product line. Our intention is to introduce new products on a regular basis and this entails regular upgrading or revamping of production capacities and machinery.
Quality
“Tiger Profiles has further raised the bar with its adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 1400 and OHSAS 18001, which is indicative of our commitment to excellence,” Salameh says.
The company has also recently been awarded product approvals from Dubai Municipality for its T-Seam roofing systems and PU/PIR (polyurethane/polyisocyanurate) insulated products. This is in addition to receiving the FM approvals for T-Seam roofing from the US and Dbit approval from Germany. Tiger Profiles is a member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Emirates Environmental Group.
The company has also recently responded to an invitation to join the advisory panel of the Green Aviation and Logistics Group.
Tiger Profiles will be present at its usual spot on the concourse (C 631) at The Big 5.
