ALMOST 75 per cent of exhibitors at the recently-concluded Gulf Industry Fair expressed a keen interest in returning next year, as the show registered a high number of deals and quality visitors.
The fourth Gulf Industry Fair was held last month (February) at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).
The event got off to a good start with a deal worth up to $1 million unveiled on the first day. Nanopool Middle East, a joint venture between Germany’s Nanopool and Universe Products International, signed the agreement with Bahrain’s Abdullah Khamees Mirrors and Tempered Glass Factory for the supply of its nanotechnology-based surface protective coating called ‘liquid glass’.
Bahrain-based Banz Trading and Contracting, an independent subsidiary of the diversified Banz Group of Companies, secured contracts worth a total of $100,000 during the fair. Among notable deals signed with leading international industrial trading firms was a $35,000 contract, which will see the firm represent Italian pump manufacturer Caprari in the kingdom.
Showcasing its manufacturing and post-production capabilities, Bahrain Aluminium Extrusion Company (Balexco) launched at the fair a luxury system of windows and doors. Fully developed in Bahrain and tested in Italy, the luxury system contains a package of eight profiles, five gaskets and seven insulations, which are safe, and insulated from heat, noise, wind and rain, says the company.
More than 100 exhibitors from 16 countries showcased their products, services and capabilities at the show, which was organised by Bahrain-based Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE).
Gulf Industry Fair is the leading business-to-business (B2B) exhibition of its type in the Northern Gulf.
