THE latest designs and technologies in the Turkish ceramic sector are being showcased at Unicera, one of the biggest ceramic events in Turkey.
The 23rd Unicera International Ceramic Bathroom Kitchen Fair is being staged at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, Istanbul, this month (March 2 to 6). One of the highlights is a VIP lounge organised by the Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group that will host VIP guests attending the fair.
“Turkish ceramics is promoted under the global brand ‘Turkishceramics’ in order not to compete on price and to add value to the ceramic industry, with the aim of increasing the country’s exports in new markets,” says a spokesman for the group. “As a result, the Turkish ceramic sector is the world’s fourth biggest exporter of ceramic tiles and the sixth biggest exporter of sanitary ware.”
The Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group has played a major role in strengthening the brand globally and today Turkish ceramics stands third in the world in terms of brand image. The group has launched a new film, a catalogue, advertisement campaigns and fresh PR initiatives as part of the branding exercise.
Apart from Unicera, two other ‘Turkishceramics’ events are also lined up for this month. One is the ISH 2011 fair in Frankfurt, Germany (March 15 to 19), where the Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group will be participating with a 96-sq-m stand at Hall3 number E98. The other is Coverings to be held in Las Vegas, US (March 14 to 17).
