DALLAH Trading Company (Trane) reports excellent response to the new range of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) products from Trane that it has launched on the Saudi market.
The company was at the recent Big 5 Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exhibition held at the end of February in Jeddah, where it showcased the latest products offered by the world leader in air-conditioning systems, services and solutions.
Among the products promoted at the event were Earthwise water-cooled chillers, a new air-conditioning unit featuring R410 refrigerants and CGAM chiller units also with the R410 refrigerants as well as new building automation controls, according to Mansoor Ahmed, business manager, spare parts, at Dallah Trading.
Ahmed indicates that Dallah Trading is already supplying Earthwise chillers for the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, under an order for some 100,000 tons of refrigeration. A total of 32 chillers in duplex configuration are currently under shipment for the project, according to Ahmed.
Commenting on the company’s performance, he says: “Business had been quite satisfactory this year, with the new product range expected to boost it even further, Our business levels have grown beyond expectations every year, given our focus on product quality and after-sales services,” he adds.
Dallah Trading Company is the sole distributor for Trane air-conditioning products, ranging from one ton to 2,000 tons, in Saudi Arabia. A subsidiary of Dallah Al Baraka Group, it has been distributing Trane air-conditioning products in Saudi Arabia for almost three decades.
“Trane is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of comfort systems for HVAC and has built a rich heritage of innovation, excellence and advanced technology that has led to an unmatched depth of expertise and reputation for quality and reliability,” says Ahmed.
Jeddah-headquartered Dallah Trading established Dcool, its after-sales business partner, to provide service solutions for all types of HVAC systems for operation and maintenance services, upgrade and improvement services. Dcool is operated by well-versed engineers and technicians.
Trane, a business of Ingersoll Rand, offers solutions that optimise indoor environments with a broad portfolio of energy-efficient HVAC, building and contracting services, parts support and advanced controls for homes and commercial buildings.
The company last month launched a new range of Tracer building automation systems designed to optimise building efficiency.
“For facility managers, effortless HVAC system management and control are key to achieving increased operational efficiency,” says a spokesman for Trane.
“Tracer ES V2.5, Tracer SC, Tracer UC, and improved wired and wireless Tracer space sensors help building managers get the most out of their entire HVAC systems. The new Tracer range covers the full spectrum of building automation solutions, managing individual equipment to enterprise-wide systems.”
Tracer solutions provide online, on-site and remote alarms, monitoring, scheduling, analysis and control with a user-friendly online interface. As a result, building managers benefit from improved ease of operation, faster response times and high reliability.
“Building managers will see their HVAC equipment perform to its full capacity when the system it is a part of operates at 100 per cent as well,” says Jean Luc Margueron, controls systems and applications portfolio business leader of Trane. “The Tracer range offers a complete approach to building automation, with the freedom to easily integrate, operate and maintain HVAC systems at any level. The web-based building control system is especially easy to use and allows for customisation and high performance.”
Tracer ES provides web control of multiple Trane or qualified BACnet systems for improved operational and energy management. With Tracer ES, all of an enterprise’s buildings and systems can be managed remotely.
Each system can be customised to reflect a facility’s unique requirements to ensure both flexibility and precision. Tracer ES express software is also available for smaller-scale environments.
At the building level, Tracer SC acts as a network and system functions manager for all individual HVAC systems, offering access from any computer through a web interface. Tracer SC supports two standard field level protocols, BACnet MS/TP and LonTalk, allowing for integration of any equipment, such as variable speed drives, chilled water systems, power generators or monitoring solutions, that uses communicating controllers.
Tracer SC uses BACnet Internet Protocol (IP) communication at the system level for easy integration into enterprise-wide BAS, such as Trane Tracer ES. Tracer SC is a fully scalable solution for small, medium or large installations that can grow with a building’s system size and complexity.
It integrates pre-engineered applications, such as chiller plant control or variable air systems control for reliable and productive control of complex chiller and boiler plants, or variable air volume (VAV) and air-handling unit installations.
To ensure HVAC systems meet exact building and occupant needs, the new Trane Tracer features a complete range of wired and wireless sensors for building spaces. Simpler, faster installation and the ability to move the sensors when needed ensure improved occupant comfort and reduced costs, he says.
Trane controls can be field-mounted on new and existing Trane solutions, non-Trane systems and ancillary components.
