SAS unveils fully glazed system

01 September 2011

SAS International, a UK-based manufacturer of interior building solutions, has launched its latest range of fully glazed, frameless partitioning systems and innovative accessories on the Middle East market.

Combining aesthetics with outstanding fire and acoustic performance, SAS International’s System 8000 can be installed as single or double glazed whilst providing acoustic performance to 49 dB and up to 60 minutes fire performance (integrity and insulation), says a spokeswoman for the company.

Used in conjunction with SAS International’s award-winning C-Joint, a clear yet robust finish for jointing both fully single and double glazed partitioning can be achieved. “Saving vital time on site, the C-Joint is installed at the same point as the partitioning glass,” she explains. “As a solid extrusion, it provides a consistent 1.5-mm compression joint between glass modules to create the appearance of butt jointed glass.”

SAS International has a dedicated office and warehouse located at Dubai Investment Park 2, in Dubai, UAE. The ongoing investment and development in its operational facilities in the region ensures high-quality product solutions are delivered on schedule, providing outstanding value to project teams and clients pursuing excellence for a range of interior schemes, the spokeswoman adds.

SAS International has also recently launched an anti-graffiti paint finish, SAS AG, for its range of metal ceiling panels and architectural metalwork products in the Middle East.

Developed for the European Market, this reinforced polyurethane durable powder coating powder product is based on a chemically-resistant resin system that is specially designed to allow the simple and rapid removal of most forms of graffiti.

“However, this innovative solution will provide benefits for construction projects in the Middle East too as it provides an incredibly hard-wearing finish which can help to reduce overall maintenance costs and keep surfaces looking new and attractive for longer,” she explains. “SAS AG can, therefore, provide an easy-specification solution for public access buildings and future proofs areas such as transportation hubs.”

SAS International’s anti-graffiti paint finish is designed to offer a high level of scratch and abrasion resistance. It is available in a wide range of colours, in gloss and semi-gloss, and can be specified on all SAS International metal ceiling and metal-work products.

With over 40 years of experience, SAS International is a leading designer and UK manufacturer of market leading ‘Interior fit-out’ solutions, including acoustic and fire performance led products, for both the public and private sector.
SAS supplies projects worldwide and has offices and staff across Europe and in the Middle East.

SAS International, which has been operating in the Middle East for more than 30 years, is driven by core values of quality, innovation and value. It has supplied many projects in the region including the new Aldar headquarters and The Souk, Abu Dhabi’s Central Market. The company also operates an office in Abu Dhabi.
