Carrier holds first Leed training event

CARRIER last month conducted its first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (Leed) licensed training workshops in the UAE and Qatar.
The workshops come at a time when Middle East building owners and designers are looking to construct some of the biggest and most luxurious buildings in the world that are going green and with more than 900 Leed projects under way in the region.
A world leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, Carrier serves as the largest partner in Leed education around the world and is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security Systems, a unit of United Technologies.
Carrier’s workshop, entitled Leed 101: Green Building Basics and Leed, attracted building industry professionals at its sessions held in Abu Dhabi in the UAE, and Doha in Qatar.
The training provided detailed information on the commercial and institutional Leed rating systems and green building best practices and cost considerations.
