BELHASA Projects, the region’s largest swimming pool specialist, has won double Gold in the UK-based international Swimming Pool and Allied Trade Association’s (Spata) prestigious annual award for best swimming pools from around the world.

The company won Gold in the international commercial pools category for the construction of a 9.8-m swimming pool in the Al Barari development in Dubai; and a second Gold for the best domestic pool in the overseas category for an 18.6-m-long swimming pool for a private villa in Sharjah, according to Greg Garner, CEO of Belhasa Projects.

Belhasa has won the Spata award for the sixth consecutive time this year, becoming the only company from the Middle East to have this distinction. Spata awards highlight the achievements of the pools industry by showcasing the best examples of construction, design and innovation globally.

Belhasa has constructed more than 3,400 swimming pools in the GCC and other countries and the company’s services ranges from complete design and construction of pools to regular pool maintenance service.

“We were able to meet the exact requirements of the client and complete the project on time,” said Malay Shah, general manager.
