CHINA Sourcing Fair: Hardware & Building Materials returns to Dubai next month, setting the stage for yet another venue for cost-effective and direct sourcing of innovative Chinese products in the UAE.

Now in its sixth year, the fair will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) between May 29 and 31 and is the largest China products exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

A record 10,038 traders attended the 2011 edition of the fair, which provides buyers a platform to meet suppliers from Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan).

Bill Janeri, Global Sources Exhibitions general manager for developing markets, underlined the profitable sourcing opportunities brought by the China Sourcing Fairs to Dubai buyers. “The China Sourcing Fair brings competitive advantage and real business solutions to the UAE – solutions for a new and bright financial future,” he said.

The fair is a crucial sourcing platform for importers, traders, and other volume buyers who facilitate trade throughout the Mena region. Buyers have grown to rely on the fair as their primary means to meet China-based suppliers, he said, adding that it also provides buyers with the opportunities to meet suppliers from Greater China face-to-face.

The China Sourcing Fair is open to importers, wholesalers, retailers and buyers in the industry looking for the latest and upcoming products from China in the areas of building materials, general hardware, flooring, ceiling, roofing materials, wall cladding and coverings, windows and doors, bathroom and kitchen supplies, plumbing, heating and cooling supplies, tools and accessories, industrial safety and law enforcement equipment, lawn and garden accessories and lighting and electrical fixtures and fittings.

The UAE has become the second-largest trade partner to China in the GCC, and the largest market for China-made product exports in the Middle East.
