“With its wireless Aperio technology, Assa Abloy provides further proof of its leading global market position in the field of high-tech locking solutions,” says Chris Bone, vice-president access control with Assa Abloy EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
“Aperio now offers security installers the opportunity to work across all sectors with a product portfolio that is cost effective and can be installed and integrated into new or existing systems, with minimal disruption to daily operations. This is great news for the end-user, OEM (original equipment manufacturer) manufacturers and system integrators,” he says.
Aperio wirelessly integrates mechanical locks into new and existing access control systems for easy and cost-effective system expansion, making it the most widely available wireless solution for integrating additional doors via online and offline devices. The Genuine HID Technology-certified Aperio is suitable for integration with HID technologies and controllers and supports, in addition, high-frequency RFID (radio frequency idenfication) technologies iClass, MiFare and DESFire now 125 kHz proximity (HID Prox/EM410).
The NFC (Near Field Communication)-enabled Aperio wireless RFID reader locks are also part of Assa Abloy’s award-winning Seos ecosystem to power mobile access. The company will demonstrate its Seos ecosystem of interoperable products and services for issuing, delivering and revoking digital keys on NFC mobile devices so they can be used to open doors to homes, hotels, offices, hospitals, universities, industries and commercial buildings.
