10,000 visitors expected to attend stone expo in Italy

A NEW event dedicated to the stone industry will be held next month (May 15 to 18) in Bari, Italy.

MediStone Expo: marble, technology, architecture and design will provide exhibitors an opportunity to interact with players of the southern Italy stone sector, as well as an opportunity for Italian and foreign companies looking to the south as a strategic area of development.

MediStone Expo will showcase marble, granite, travertine and stone both raw and processed, as well as machinery and equipment for extraction, processing and finishing, ornaments, sculpture, funerary art, machines for handling and transportation.

CarraraFiere, in co-operation with EffeEvents, will organise the expo that will also feature conferences, workshops and design exhibits, along with an architectural award dedicated to the enhancement and promotion of the Apulian stones.

The event will take place on an exhibition area of 20,000 sq m in addition to outdoor space. The organisers expect the debut edition to welcome more than 10,000 Italians and foreigner visitors.
