Laticrete products at Burj Al Arab

PRODUCTS from Laticrete International, a world leader in the manufacture of ceramic tile and stone installation systems, have been used in the seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel project off the shore of Dubai.
"The developers of this landmark wanted the best construction products and contractors in the industry. Laticrete was chosen to supply large quantities of its adhesives and grouts as well as its waterproof membrane for various areas of the hotel," says Alec Hedley, regional manager of Laticrete.
The Laticrete products used in the project included: Laticrete 9235 waterproof membrane; Laticrete 4237 latex thin-set mortar additive with Laticrete 211 crete filler powder; and Laticrete 226 thick-bed mortar mix.
"Pictures and words cannot adequately describe this world-class hotel. One has to see it in person to completely understand its magnitude," says Hedley. "We are very excited that Laticrete was chosen to be a part of this one-of-a-kind hotel construction and we are confident that our installation system products will add to the success of this project," adds.
