TEREX Finlay has expanded its offering of crushers and screens for the quarrying sector with the launch of the horizontal I-100 impact crusher and the 883 Spaleck 3D Combi Flip-Flow screen.
The new direct-drive horizontal impact crusher with variable speed gives operators unprecedented levels of production in both recycling and quarrying applications, says a spokesman for Terex Finlay.
The I-100 impact crusher features an advanced electronic control system that monitors and controls the speed of the rotor and regulates the heavy-duty vibrating feeder (VGF) with integrated pre-screen to maintain a consistent feed of material into the impact chamber for optimal crushing conditions.
The robust and proven Terex chamber, measuring 860 mm by 860 mm, gives excellent reduction ratios and high consistency of product shape, says the spokesman.
Material from the integrated pre-screen can be diverted to a stock pile via the optional by-pass conveyor, or it may join the crushed product on the main belt. The standard hopper capacity of 2.3 cu m places the machine at the forefront in this competitive market sector, he adds.
“With tracked mobility, this machine is capable of working in the most demanding of environments and features a rapid set-up time,” the spokesman says.
The I-100 features a heavy-duty chassis, with convenient access points and ladders to all service areas.

The Terex Finlay 883 Spaleck ... ultimate in mobile screening. |
The start-up time for the impact crusher is minimal, with the machine ready for crushing in less than five minutes. The heavy-duty crawler tracks, and optional radio remote control unit, make on-site mobility very easy.
The key features of the crusher include hydraulic apron setting assist that provides convenient and efficient adjustment of the aprons. The hydraulic overload protection provides instant protection for the uncrushable material. Furthermore, the heavy-duty VGF with integrated prescreen helps by-pass dirty fines, while the direct drive crusher chamber with independent belt tensioner allows for rapid adjustment.
Terex Finlay tracked mobile impact crushers are renowned for their versatility and capabilities in the reduction and sizing of soft to medium natural granite and limestone and non-abrasive materials as well as recycling construction demolition waste. The Finlay impact crushers are described as being ideal for producing a quality end product where grain shape, distribution and consistency is paramount.
Finlay 883 Spaleck
Turning to the new screen launched by the company, the spokesman says the new Terex Finlay 883 Spaleck is the ultimate in mobile screening and separation technology. This new product offering is the result of a joint partnership between Terex Finlay, a pioneer in mobile tracked processing equipment and Spaleck, a market leader in static recycling screening technology.
At the heart of the mobile plant is the two-deck German designed and constructed high-performance screenbox. “The unique stepped top deck design combined with state-of-the-art flip flow technology on the bottom deck catapults the Finlay 883 Spaleck into a class of its own,” he says. “Its processing capabilities and application flexibility make the machine the only all-in-one mobile solution for processing difficult waste, recycling, slag, construction and demolition (C&D), shredded metal, wood, compost, mulch, ores, coal and soil.

Even large-grained material can be screened on a screening machine with a Flip-Flow screen deck. The screening deck with 3D screen segments, which is positioned above the screen deck to form a cascade, protects and reduces the stress on the Flip Flow screen mats. Their service life is increased and optimal screening results are guaranteed, the spokesman claims.
“The 3D screen segments with maximum open screen area can be changed quickly and simply, thanks to the modular construction. The screen mats of the 3D Flip-Flow screen are fastened without screws and have no edges that could cause difficulties. This means that the screen mats can be changed quickly and there is an optimal product flow on the screen mats,” he explains.
Other key features of the Terex Finlay 883 Spaleck include virtually blockage-free screening in the upper and lower deck, thanks to tried-and-tested 3D and Flip-Flow technology. Additionally, the 3D screening segments guarantee accurate screening with no long pieces passing into the middle grade material. The Flip-Flow screen with screwless mounted screen mats avoids unnecessary cleaning and reduces maintenance times. And the screenbox discharge end can be hydraulically raised 500 mm to facilitate efficient and easy media access and changing.
