Storage facility goes up at DWC

01 July 2013

DUBAI World Central (DWC), the world’s first purpose-built aerotropolis, said a new state-of-the-art storage facility is being constructed in its logistics district.

Owned by RSA-Talke, it is being built to international safety and quality standards and equipped with separate sections for chemical storage. The new facility will offer definite logistical advantages to the Gulf region with more than 19,000 pallet spaces. It is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2014.

RSA-Talke will deliver a broad spectrum of logistics services for non-hazardous and hazardous materials, as well as a location with good traffic and transport links on the grounds of DWC. The facility provides direct connections not only to regional and international road and sea routes but also to Al Maktoum International Airport, the world’s largest airport, located within DWC.

RSA-Talke is a joint venture between RSA Logistics, a provider of transport and logistics services headquartered in Dubai, and Talke, a German chemical logistician based in Hürth near Cologne.
