DORMA Gulf, the regional arm of the global player in door technology sector, has received the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The ISO certification, which was awarded at Dorman’s newly opened ‘The World of Access’ showroom in Dubai, represented a milestone in Dorma’s 40-year presence in the region, the company said.
The certification recognises the highest world-class standards in supply chain management and is a reflection of Dorma’s unique R&D (research and development) and certified quality management systems.
Speaking at the event, Ben Shaw, managing director, Dorma Gulf, said: “We are proud to receive this distinguished certification. Dorma Gulf is committed towards contributing to safer and more secured icons in the region where our products complement the new world-class building and construction standards endorsed by the regional government bodies.
“Dorma quality management system is based on the ‘Lean’ methodology, which is now certified to the international ISO 9001:2008 standards,” Shaw added.
The event was attended by Brian Baxter, service delivery manager of Lloyds Register Quality Assurance.
In addition to ISO 9001:2008, Dorma Gulf recently bagged the Pace (Performance Advancement for Customer Excellence) Bronze Level certification which reflects customer-focused performance in compliance with the lean methodology standards.
