The Gazebox ... aesthetic.

The Gazebox ... aesthetic.

Mikea engineers three-in-one ‘gazebox’

01 July 2013

MIKEA Engineering Rosciano of Italy has invented a revolutionary foldable cover system which  it says can be used as a carport, garage or even a modern gazebo.

Called the Gazebox, the patented product is made in Italy, says a spokesman for the company, adding that  the unit’s special UV (ultraviolet)-protective polycarbonate panels afford protection from “the sun, rain, wind, pets and birds”.

The unit also doesn’t retain heat and is easy to install, he adds.

The benefits of the Gazebox are many, according to the spokesman. It has an automatic opening system and can be customised according to requirements. Not only does it have a long-lasting framework, but its exclusive design requires a small footprint to create a remarkable aesthetic impact.

Furthermore, its structure can be quickly anchored to the ground and easily removed when required. It can also be adapted to provide theft protection and has an independent fan regulation.

The unit comes in two sizes: the 540 model is 540 cm by 300 cm by 250 cm (length, width and height) while the 610 model measures 610 cm by 300 cm by 250 cm.

The Gazebox is offered in two versions: premium and luxury. The first has a painted and protected iron framework, alveolar polycarbonate walls and roofs, easy manual opening, counterweight retaining springs, and LED (light-emitting diode) lights.

The luxury model, in addition to the features of the premium version, has push-button automatic opening and emergency batteries, while the roof and walls are in alveolar polycarbonate, solid polycarbonate or wood.

On request, the Gazebox can be ordered with total or partial wooden panelling, and fitted with an aerator, air-conditioner, theft alarm, hail and rain detector, panels with wrap film, solar panels, and a 1,300-watt compact vacuum cleaner.
