REYNAERS Middle East, which launched its much-sought-after range of Hi-Finity sliding doors earlier this year, is now geared to offer the product in different variations and as a full package.
The product maximises views of the outdoors, thanks to its slim profiles, while also being suitable to create perfect partitions between two different sections of a single housing unit or a restaurant setting.
Contemporary architecture makes use of large glass surfaces to maximise on natural light: Hi-Finity is designed exactly for this purpose, says Ali Khalaf, managing director of Reynaers Middle East, the Bahrain-based regional office of Reynaers, a leading aluminium systems provider.
Hi-Finity incorporates a number of technical innovations in order to combine a minimalistic design with maximal performance. “This way the customer can enjoy a maximal view with a high level of comfort and without comprising the aesthetic aspect of the system,” he says.
Despite the minimal visual sidelines, the system’s high strength allows Hi-Finity to carry the weight of a large glass pane up to 500 kg, Khalaf points out.
“This, in combination with the high energy performance and the minimalistic look, makes this product the best solution for the low-energy contemporary architecture,” he says.
It is also interesting how the term Hi-Finity is coined, he adds. “The ‘Hi’ represents important characteristics of this product – which are high-end, high insulation, high performance and high dimensions and weight – while ‘Finity’ denotes an infinite view,” Khalaf explains.
The different opening designs offered for Hi-Finity include duo rail, three-rail and a central closing option, thus providing solutions for up to six movable glass panes per application. The specially designed wheel base realises a fluid movement of the glass panes, which guarantee even large openings to be easily manually operated, he says. For an even higher level of comfort, a concealed motor opens the vents fully automatically at the push of a button or using a remote control device.
As Hi-Finity is available in double and triple-glazed versions, the large glass surfaces provide an effective thermal insulating solution and a warm feeling of comfort, according to Khalaf. This is further enhanced through the system’s air-tightness. The different sealing components create a firm barrier against air intrusion.
“The sections that provide the connections between glass panes are designed with a Reynaers-patented adjustable profile that guarantees a perfect fit for complete air-tightness,” he says.
Furthermore, the concept of the locking mechanism gives the product a high level of security. In combination with layered glass, Hi-Finity is burglary resistant, and conforms to Class RC2. Electric locking and unlocking of the system is realised by a robust bolt and hook, operated by a simple push on the button or the remote control.
“Hi-Finity differs from competing systems in the market due to its ease of fabrication,” Khalaf continues. “Most rival systems are supplied as one complete unit and hence do not provide fabricators with flexibility in the application of the system. However, Reynaers supplies all materials including the profiles and accessories to the fabricators, allowing them the flexibility and ease of installation.
“This system is also unique in its market segmentation. Although there is demand in the commercial sector for landmark projects such as showrooms, palaces or exhibition centres, this particular product is highly popular among hi-end villa and home owners looking to merge their stunning exteriors with their home’s comfortable interiors.”
This is said to be the main reason many home owners in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait are opting to install this particular sliding door. “Interestingly, Lebanon and Jordan are among the other two important markets where this system is in high demand due to their scenic outdoors,” says Khalaf.
The company has already secured two important villa projects in Lebanon and Jordan and is currently in the process of supplying these orders.
