A VISA shortage has hit 40 per cent of projects in Saudi Arabia in the past two years, the Arab News reported quoting a senior official.
Contractors in the country have been hit due to a shortage of experienced foreign manpower, the report quoted Fahd Al Hammadi, chairman of the contractors committee at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as saying.
“Saudi contractors have suffered a lot due to the withdrawal of government projects and the Labour Ministry’s rejection of their visa requests,” he said.
