MAYTAS Infra Saudi Arabia (Misa) has received a contract from Saudi Binladin Group for structural and concreting works on Abraj Kudai Project-P1360 in Makkah.
The SR290.27-million ($77.45 million) contract is expected to be completed in 32 months, the company said.
Misa’s scope of work involves supply, delivery, installation, supervision, as built, and handing over of structural and reinforcement concrete works for two 230-m towers – 2A and 3A.
Abraj Kudai is a mixed-used development at the Manafia area in Makkah’s central zone, which is being built on a total site area of approximately 60,000 sq m and involving a total built-up area of around 1.4 million sq m. It features a large podium topped by 12 towers.
The podium comprises a bus station, a shopping mall, restaurants and food courts, a convention centre and car parks.
Misa said it recently commenced work on road drainage for Phase One of the King Abdul Aziz International Airport development project in Jeddah.
Misa is a subsidiary of India-based IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company, a infrastructure development and construction company.
