Trio of expos to build on strength

01 April 2015

gulfBID 2015, along with its concurrent shows gulfInteriors and the Gulf Property Show, is making a great impact with exhibitors from around the region expecting a greater turnout.

The annual gulfBID, gulfInteriors and Gulf Property Show exhibitions, the Northern Gulf’s annual dedicated construction, interiors and real estate expo – now popularly termed as the 3Gs – return to Bahrain next month with renewed enthusiasm from exhibitors and growing support from both the public and private sectors.

The fairs will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, from May 12 to 14. Combined, the three exhibitions represent the biggest integrated business-to-business platforms for the construction, interior and property sectors in the Northern Gulf.

“gulfBID is the perfect platform to promote the excellent services and products provided by the GCC’s finest construction companies,” says Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), the show organiser.

gulfBID, the annual expo for construction and building materials, has successfully maintained its reputation as being the region’s leading B2B host to the top associations of its category for eight years. The business proposition of gulfBID is seen in the strategic sponsorship given to the event by Haji Hassan Group and KMC Holdings, adds Abdulrahman.

Haji Hassan Group covers 13 sectors that specialise in the manufacturing of construction materials, road infrastructure, bridges and flyovers projects and real estate development, while Bahrain-based KMC Holdings offers total solution packages through its various construction divisions.

This year’s show has witnessed wider GCC appeal, with companies attending in strength from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. These include Al Koblan Thermopipe, Al Rezayat Protective Coating, Gulf Scaffolding, Al Dweik Factory, Plastbau Arabia, Concrete Technology, Riyadh Crane Technology, Shade Technology, Steco and Bonar Natpet, all from Saudi Arabia. These companies will be displaying a variety of products including the latest building materials, concrete products, polystyrene building blocks, scaffolding, and steel structures and cranes.

“These companies are not only looking to access the opportunities of the Bahrain market, which itself is embarking on some major projects over the coming months, but also are looking to take advantage of Bahrain as a Mice (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) centre to meet new and existing clients and principals,” says Abdulrahman.

gulfBID 2014 attracted more than 7,100 international visitors, including unique targets such as real estate developers, manufacturers, agents, distributors and dealers, investors, contractors, interior designers, architects, purchasing and procurement managers.

gulfInteriors

Taking place alongside gulfBID is gulfInteriors, which continues to maintain its unique B2B and B2C position and promises to provide visitors with an array of furniture, decorative paints and wallcoverings, kitchen and ceramics to choose from.

gulfInteriors is dedicated to connecting the GCC’s finest architects, designers, real estate developers, manufacturers, agents, distributors, dealers and investors. The exhibition, now in its seventh edition, provides a platform for the interior design industry to display products and services to the public as well as to the exhibitors of gulfBID and Gulf Property Show.

“With the Northern Gulf investing billions on construction projects in the coming years, there are major business opportunities for companies involved in the interiors and construction sectors,” says Abdulrahman.

gulfInteriors will host acclaimed companies from Saudi Arabia such as Al Olayan Aluminium Kitchens, Forsan Ceramics, Furniture Lines Factory as well as global brands such as Hempel and Berger Paints.

“In addition, we will host the Federation of Furniture Manufacturers of Italy, which has chosen the gulfInteriors as the showcase for their member companies visiting Bahrain. We will have companies new to the GCC market looking to expand their business horizons by participating at Gulf Interiors,” says Abdulrahman.

Gulf Property Show

The Gulf Property Show 2015 is poised to break its own records set last year. The annual expo was initially dedicated to be a showcase for Bahrain’s leading real estate and property development companies.

“Now in its third year, the Gulf Property Show has established itself as the exhibition of choice for international companies looking to sell their properties in the Northern Gulf,” says Ahmed Suleiman, the exhibition director.

As well as attracting the strategic sponsorship of arguably Bahrain’s largest project developers, Diyar Al Muharraq and Inovest, the show is set to feature properties across three continents.

“The exhibitions are looking forward to strong visitor attraction from neighbouring Saudi Arabia, the region’s most strategic market and an industrial powerhouse,” concludes Abdulrahman.

gulfBID, alongside Gulf Property Show and gulfInteriors, is backed by the Bahrain Property Developers’ Association (BaPDA) and the Middle East Facilities Management Association (Mefma).
