Rezayat Protective Coating Company will be returning to gulfBID to promote its flagship product which is fusion-bonded epoxy coated (FBEC) steel reinforcement.
Rezayat undertakes FBEC of steel reinforcement bars from 8 to 40 mm according to ASTM A775 standards, says general manager Riyadh Al Homoud.
The coating, he explains, protects steel bars from corrosion, giving prolonged life to concrete structures. The company’s annual production capacity of rebar is 100,000 tonnes per annum and it has a facility for cutting and bending to structural drawing schedules. It also supplies coated wire mesh.
Al Homoud says Rezayat’s participation at gulfBID is in line with its continued efforts to ensure international exposure and create awareness of its capabilities as a FBEC rebar manufacturer that adheres to the relevant ASTM standards. He expresses satisfaction over last year’s event and says the response to the company’s stand was fair.
Commenting on business levels, he indicates that while the company’s performance was satisfactory, it is hopeful of surpassing last year’s levels in 2015 with its main market continuing to be Saudi Arabia.
“The prospects for the construction industry in the region are good,” he adds.
Rezayat was established in December 1992 in Dammam’s Second Industrial City. It employs 130 people and has an annual turnover of $50 million. Rezayat Coating Company will be exhibiting at Stand 1A22 at gulfBID.
