Smart eUnit makes tasks trouble-free

DORNBRACHT, a German manufacturer of high-quality designer fittings and accessories for the kitchen and bathroom, has expanded its products portfolio with a number of products and accessories for the kitchen.
These include its first electronic product solution for the kitchen – eUnit Kitchen, a new concept that represents a move by Dornbracht’s toward technological-innovation leadership in the kitchen area, according to a spokesperson for the manufacturer.
To analyse work processes in the kitchen, Dornbracht conducted a detailed study of the kitchen-task areas, examining the added value electronically controlled fittings provide in kitchen applications.
“The result of these efforts can now be seen in the exclusive eUnit Kitchen. This solution offers optimised technology and assistance with manual tasks – dispensing water, regulating water flow and temperature and plug operation.
“The different functions are combined and can be called up using a single control unit. Intuitive, simple application logic simplifies work processes, leaving more time for creativity in preparing and presenting the food and interacting with guests,” he says.
The newly developed foot sensor brings added convenience to kitchen work processes. It can be used to turn water on and off, for hands-free operation and has been transposed from professional kitchens for home use.
The eUnit also dispenses water in measured amounts for just the right volume of water required: from small amounts for baking to the large volumes needed in tasks such as water for noodles.
“The minimalist aesthetics of the controls fit perfectly with the unobtrusive design of modern kitchens. During development, particular attention was given to a simple, space-saving installation: thanks to its compact construction, the eUnit Kitchen can be situated in ‘plug-’n’-play’ fashion beneath the sink without taking up too much space, leaving countertops uncluttered for food preparation and the placement of kitchen objects,” the spokesperson says. “Another innovative feature of the eUnit is an aura of light that glows when the controls are operated, creating a relaxing atmosphere in the kitchen.”
The portfolio also includes liquid soap dispensers, plugs and professional dishwashing spray hoses, bringing even more convenience and functionality to domestic kitchens.
“Integrated liquid soap dispensers make hand washing easy and user-friendly, while professional spray hoses offer a targeted range of applications for different dishwashing requirements. Plugs are available in conventional or electronic versions, allowing hygienic and easy drainage of the sink.
All accessories are tailored to individual requirements in the kitchen and are available in a wide variety of designs.
