The seamless attention to detail found in the Avid faucet collection represents a new era in global collaboration at Kohler.
Avid is the inspired result of the company’s global design team’s exploration into design imperatives such as bringing emotional connection and sensitivity to minimalism without slipping into embellishment or cliché, according to a spokesman for Kohler, a leader in kitchen and bath plumbing fixtures, furniture and tiles, and engines and generators.
Avid is crafted for minimalism without being impersonal, he adds.
“Contemporary interior design has an infinite variety of expression,” says Mark Bickerstaffe, director of new product development for Kohler. “To discover the potential for new and inspiring faucet designs, we continuously converse with designers and consumers worldwide probing for insight and meaning that we can connect to with new design.”
“A global design team, using cultural conversations as a springboard, set about encapsulating contemporary mood in metal, seeking sensitivity and emotional connection.”
This contemporary design serves as a point of inspiration from which an overall theme develops: Fluid metal flows from deck through the spout, pairing painstaking simplicity with visual comfort. The versatile collection includes a complete range of faucets, showering trim and a full line of accessories to invite an emotional response while coordinating with modern interiors.
Available in polished chrome, brushed nickel and Kohler’s new titanium finish, the Avid line is constructed of premium materials for reliable durability and topped with a lasting finish that resists corrosion and tarnishing.
