Sennebogen, a Germany-based full service provider and quality leader in crane technology and material handling, premiered its latest and largest duty cycle crawler at bauma 2016, the world’s leading trade fair for construction, building material machines held in Germany last April.
Classified as a 300-tonne machine, the 6300 has an impressive size and aroused curiosity even before the show.
Erich Sennebogen, the company’s managing director, comments: “With the latest Sennebogen 6300, we have created a duty cycle crawler crane that will surpass everything that has come before it. Every part has been designed for maximum durability, the base frame is solid steel to ideally absorb forces during continuous use, and we also spared no expense in high-quality, solid components. We are currently expanding our production areas in Plant Two in order to have the organisation required to process future orders.”
Even the transport dimensions promise great things, he says. The huge duty cycle crawler crane measures an entire 12 m in length. The crawler tracks alone are 9.5 m long, with a track width of 6.8 m for stability and easy manoeuvrability. The green uppercarriage and solid counterweight plates bring the machine to a prestigious overall weight of 310 tonnes. Just the uppercarriage weighs around 100 tonnes.
More than 60 years of experience in designing and developing duty cycle crawler cranes have gone into this project. The extreme hydraulic power in particular allows for demanding, dynamic use under extreme loads, for example in dredging, mining and special underground engineering operations.
The proven Sennebogen modular concept opens up versatile variants, such as an 80-m main boom that is available for use with lifting hooks. The 6300 duty cycle crawler crane, with hydraulic power up to 350 bar, a 2,000-litre hydraulic tank and oversized hydraulic lines and valves, is also ideal as a drive unit for hydraulic attachments, he says.
Among other developments, Sennebogen recently presented a new sales tool for its international sales partners. The new app, which is immediately available via the usual app stores for Android, IOS, and Windows, is intended for sales personnel of dealers and summarises all relevant contents on an intuitively usable platform.
“Around 130 dealers sell the material handlers and cranes throughout the world. The new app, which is available on a smartphone or tablet, now provides them with a convenient information and reference medium,” says a company spokesman.
In addition to current information concerning innovations and changes, all products are explained in detail. The complete brochure data, image and video material, as well as product details provide the user with the tools for optimally informing interested parties, says the spokesman.
In addition to the extensive product area, the app provides information on current trade fairs and events and gives an overview of the company history, contact persons, and other important contact information. Almost all contents of the app are available online as well as offline.
With the introduction of the Sennebogen app, the company is taking a further step to provide dealers with effective sales support.
