Saudi Aramco has announced that the construction of the Midyan gas plant is progressing well with 86 per cent of the work completed and it is now scheduled to go into full operation by the end of this year.






The Saudi government has embarked on a major plan to build 7,000 new villas at an investment of SR4.48 billion ($1.19 billion) on a 6.5-million-sq-m area in the eastern part of Riyadh, said a report.

The upcoming facility will serve Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery and terminal.






Royal HaskoningDHV, an international project management consultancy, said it has been appointed by the Saudi Trade and Export Development Company (Tusdeer) to provide masterplanning and consulting engineering services for its new state-of-the-art logistics park in Jeddah.






Saudi Arabia has announced the opening of its first indoor snow theme park – Snow City – which has been constructed on a 5,000-sq-m area in Al Othaim Mall Rabwa in capital Riyadh at a cost of around SR100 million ($26.6 million).






Thyssenkrupp, one of the world’s leading elevator companies, has been awarded a contract to design, manufacture, supply, install and maintain 641 elevators and escalators for Lines One and Two of the Riyadh Metro. The metro is part of the Riyadh Public Transit System project, one of the largest of its kind in the world.
