UAE-based Trojan General Contracting (TGC), said it has been awarded a Dh1-billion ($272 million) contract by leading developer Emaar Properties for the construction of its Mira Oasis townhouses in the second phase of the Reem, a masterplanned neighbourhood in Dubai.
The second phase of the Mira Oasis community will consist of 1,393 units and is divided into three plots that will comprise fully-fitted contemporary townhouses stylishly designed with a choice of courtyard living.
With spacious three- and four-bedroom units that come in different types of housing clusters, the community will effortlessly integrate family living in a neighbourhood that offers easy access to a wide range of lifestyle amenities, says the Abu Dhabi-headquartered company.
A large-scale residential project by Emaar, Reem is one of the most sought-after communities in Dubai, defined by several exotic features including a desert botanical park, sand surfing and camel riding trails, go-karting track, dune buggies, rock climbing wall, cricket pitch, soccer field, and a skate park.
On the contract win, Hamad Al Ameri, the managing director, Trojan Holding, says: “With an impressive portfolio of world-class assets, TGC sees the Mira Oasis townhouses project as an opportunity to expand further in the UAE, in line with the vision of the country’s leaders.”
“It will bring unprecedented economic pre-eminence to the real estate market, and we are proud to be a part of a project that will further strengthen the property sector,” he adds.
With substantial project contracts acquired over the years, TGC’s current large-scale developments include the 5,000 villas in Jabal Hafeet, Ain Al Fayda in Al Ain and the 489 Nad Al Sheba Villas in Dubai. Other high-profile projects by TGC include the Palm Tower in Dubai and Hydra Avenue towers, Hydra Village, and Horizon Towers, all in Abu Dhabi.
“Being awarded this development demonstrates our ability to deliver superior developments with the support of our employees that have the proven ability to succeed. One of our biggest competitive advantages as a holding company is that we have an integrated team representing numerous specialised subsidiaries, distinguishing us as holistic contracting group in the industry,” he adds.
Construction of the Mira Oasis Townhouses, which began last month (July), is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
Trojan General Contracting has been appointed as the sole contractor for the Reem project, while Trojan Holding’s seven specialised subsidiaries will be involved at various stages.
