MB Crusher will be displaying its latest products in the region for the first time at The Big 5 in Dubai, UAE, following their global launch at bauma, the world’s largest construction machery and equipment show held in Munich, Germany, last April.
“At the Big 5 in Dubai, we will also be showcasing our award-winning crushing and screening buckets,” says a spokesman for the company.
“Among the innovations that will be showcased is our new hydraulic drum cutter MB-R800 and our latest jewel, the MB-LS220 – the first screening bucket designed specifically for owners of loaders and backhoes from 12 to 35 tonnes, which fills a gap in the market in terms of the ability to select waste material,” he adds.
Italy-based MB Crusher is a leading attachment specialist, providing materials processing equipment to the recycling, demolition, construction, landscaping and waste management industries. It offers a complete range of crushing and screening buckets, drum-cutters and grapples, suitable for all kinds of excavators and loaders.
The company offers a selective demolition technique that minimises the impact of demolition, both in terms of noise and dust. This is done by mounting its MB-G900 grapple on an excavator. Weighing 780 kg, the grapple is designed by MB Crusher to be mounted on excavators with operating weights between 12 and 18 tonnes.
The MB-G900 has a capacity of 0.43 cu m with closed claws and combines remarkable agility and strong clamping force which facilitates masonry demolition. The closing pressure, depending on the settings, can go from 200 to 400 bar (with a flow rate of 30 litres of oil per minute), while the rotation flow is up to 20 litres per minute (from a minimum of eight litres per minute).
“The grapple is extremely responsive and allows a precise selection of materials, while the demolition work is in progress. The pace at which it can manage the closing force enables the handling of recyclable materials such as wood and metal, allowing them to be separated from other materials intended for landfill while the masonry parts are demolished and then transformed into recovered raw materials,” the spokesman explains.
The MB-G900 has many design features that enhance performance. The inclined plate connection considerably increases the scope of the grapple, and the continuous movement at 360 degrees gives the operator maximum working versatility to undertake tasks that would simply be impossible with other equipment, he claims
Claw side supports (built of Hardox) of the sturdy MB-G900 are heavily reinforced. In addition, the award-winning claw shape facilitates the movement of a lot of material, thanks to its wide opening of up to 540 mm.
Maintenance of the grapple is very simple, with its well-located greasing points. Its strength and ease of maintenance allows MB to provide the MB-G900 with an optional 24-month warranty.
In addition to the MB-G900, MB has three other models of grapples, all with the same design and construction features:
• The smallest model, the MB-G600 is designed for machines up to 12 tonnes, essentially mini- and midi-excavators or backhoes, and has a capacity of 0.29 cu m with closed claws;
• The MB-G1200, also with closed claws, comes in a capacity of 0.71 cu m and is suitable for excavators with operating weights between 18 and 25 tonnes;
• Finally, the largest model in the range is the two-tonne MB-G1500. It has a capacity of 1.43 cu m, closed claws, a closing pressure between 300 and 400 bars, and an oil flow rate of 50 litres per minute. This grapple is marketed by MB for excavators weighting from 20 to 25 tonnes. Like the other models in the range, it has interchangeable claws, a safety valve (which keeps the claws closed in case of oil loss in the circuit), and a silent block that eliminates the classic (and annoying) clang when the clamps are opened completely. It is also really simple to maintain.
