Topwerk has recently completed the installation of the first fully automatic block-making plant with in-line value-adding machine in Saudi Arabia. The installation was for its loyal customer Saudi Pan Kingdom Company (Sapac), which had previously installed a HESS plant in 2004.
“Thanks to its positive experience with its first plant, Sapac chose to work with Topwerk-HESS Group once again when it decided to expand and boost its growth prospects by investing in another plant,” said Mohammed Tayseer Qasem, Topwerk Middle East managing director.
Worldwide, Topwerk is the only supplier of complete integrated solutions for the production of concrete products. “The wide range of machinery provided by the Topwerk brand, is creating ‘new dimensions in concrete shaping’,” said Kathrin Scheffel, CEO of Topwerk.
The fact that Topwerk offers a fully integrated concept from the mixing plant, the production, handling, value-adding to the packaging for the production of concrete blocks and pavers, concrete slabs, infrastructure products and autoclaved aerated concrete is a huge benefit for the customer.
Topwerk’s active market presence worldwide and its innovative solution-oriented developments provide customers with significant competitive advantages. Its solutions are user-friendly and offer a high degree of integration and flexibility – reasons which explain the global reputation of Topwerk as the most respected player in the industry, she added.
The company has been making continued inroads in the Gulf, where demand for concrete products has been on the rise. For instance, during bauma, a leading construction equipment and vehicles exhibition held in Munich, Germany, in April this year, Al Turki Group – a leading company in the concrete products industry in Oman which has decades of experience with machines from other suppliers – decided to buy two complete plants from Topwerk HESS Group featuring state-of-the-art technology, to strengthen its position in Oman and the GCC as a premium supplier of concrete products.
During its 10 years of business in the Middle East, Topwerk Middle East has gained thorough knowledge of customers’ needs. In terms of providing solutions for the products currently in demand in the region as well as the flexibility and far-sightedness for producing special products in the future, Topwerk Middle East is believed to be the perfect match for customer satisfaction, Qasem stated.
Topwerk anticipates continued growth in the region, given that the Middle East and specifically the Arabian Gulf is considered a well-established market for concrete products. The demand for masonry blocks and pavers is stable, with the value-added pavers and tiles market emerging in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Oman. Despite delays in some infrastructure projects in the region, there will be opportunities for the infrastructure concrete products market in the short term.
“Middle East customers are becoming more focused on high-end machines and the latest technology,” said Qasem, who is able to draw upon over a decade of experience in the concrete business in the Gulf region. “We have built our presence in the region on the fact that after-sales service is a major key to success, which differentiates us from our competitors. Our competent service team can respond within the same day in the GCC,” he continued.
In 2016, Topwerk Middle East has formed its regional sales team to develop business for the Topwerk group companies, namely HESS Group, SR-Schindler, Prinzing-Pfeiffer and HESS AAC Systems.
Topwerk’s network of product and sales houses guarantees the best long-term solutions that are available on the market, Qasem concluded.
