UAE master-developer Limitless has awarded a contract worth Dh285 million ($78 million) for infrastructure work at its flagship Downtown Jebel Ali mixed-use project in Dubai.
As per the contract signed last month, UAE-based Arco General Contracting will carry out complete community infrastructure work – including roads, sewerage, utilities and lighting – in all four zones of the development, to prepare land plots for handover to third-party developers, said the Dubai-based developer.
Mobilisation will begin immediately, with work due for completion by the end of 2017, it stated. Downtown Jebel Ali spans 200 hectares and stretches 11 km along Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road. The project has more than 300 third-party plots, on which investors will build a mixture of apartments, hotels, offices and retail developments, Limitless said.
