Reynaers to woo Egypt with systems

01 February 2018

Reynaers Aluminium will be showcasing systems that cater specifically to the Egyptian market at the WinDoorEx + Glass and Aluminium Middle East 2018, the country’s leading exhibition for the construction and real estate sectors. The event is being held this month (February 22 to 25) at the Egypt International Exhibitions Centre in Cairo, Egypt.

“We have chosen WinDoorEx as a platform to update our existing and potential stakeholders about Reynaers’ latest steps to serve the Egyptian market through improved and viable measures. The market has been rather sluggish given the economic situation in the country, however, we anticipate a lot of activity in the construction sector which we are very keen to tap,” said Ali Khalaf, managing director of Reynaers Middle East (RME), the regional office of the Belgian aluminium systems provider.

“We hope to approach the market with fresh ideas and a fresher team. As part of the new measures to have a three-pronged approach to the market, we are in the midst of establishing a new office in the capital Cairo, a new team comprising a sales manager and a highly qualified team for estimation. Additionally, more efforts will be driven towards business development by way of participation in relevant fairs and networking opportunities,” added Khalaf.

Several samples of Reynaers systems will be showcased at the event including the most popular CW 50 curtain-wall series. Although Reynaers’ entire product range is offered to the Egyptian market, its curtain-wall systems such as the CW 50 SC and CW 50 HL series have gained popularity, given the virtually unlimited creative freedom they offer.

Among the sliding systems, demand for the CP 130 series has also gained momentum over the past few years. At the event, Reynaers will be promoting the CP 130 Concept Patio, a highly insulated slide and lift-slide system that meets the highest requirements with regard to insulation, stability and safety. The system links up perfectly with the CS 77 series of window systems, which will also be on display.

The CP 130, available with various opening possibilities, is offered with a low threshold that facilitates access into buildings. A special corner solution makes it possible to open up spaces without any fixed corner element, creating a continuity between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

“This makes CP 130 ideal for rooms with a view,” Khalaf pointed out. “This robust system allows the construction of large and stable sliding windows and doors with a vent weight of up to 300 kg. It also offers an aesthetic slimline middle section. The CP 130 can comply with Class 2 burglar resistance standards, offering a safe and secure solution.”

Several window and doors variants will be also displayed at the Reynaers stand and these include the Economic series ES 50, Slim Line series SL 38, Concept Patio series CP 68, the comprehensive CS 77, and Master Line 8 — the latest generation of window and door series.

MasterLine 8 was launched in 2017 by Reynaers marking a key milestone in the 50-year history of the company, and will be introduced for the first time in the Egyptian market.

On the system, Khalaf said: “MasterLine 8 represents maximum comfort and security for the end-user. It offers enormous architectural freedom with numerous design variants and scores high in terms of energy efficiency. With the development of the new system, special attention was paid to the manufacturing and installation of the windows. Therefore, we can find the innovative character of MasterLine 8 in an optimised production process, an efficient assembly of the components and a simplified installation of the finished elements.”

Reynaers Middle East-Egypt, the Egyptian branch office of RME, was established in 2012 and has proved to be among the most resilient business units in RME’s portfolio, according to Khalaf.

Some of the projects undertaken by the company include the Cairo International Conference Hall 5, Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel extension and the Child Museum, Cairo. More recent projects that employ Reynaers systems include the Etisalat headquarters, ABC Bank building, Cleopatra Mall, Sief office building, Mall of Egypt, and Petro Gas office building, among others.

Khalaf said the Egyptian market also offers potential in the residential sector. Several notable villa projects undertaken by Reynaers include the Amer House, Shadi Hani, Ahmed El Wassif, Mohammed Farouq and Mohammed Masnour villas.

Reynaers is a leading Belgium-based specialist in the development and marketing of innovative and sustainable aluminium solutions for windows, doors, curtain-walling, sliding systems, sun-screening and conservatories. In addition to an extensive range of standard solutions, the company also develops solutions that are tailored to individual projects. Research, product development and testing are conducted at the Reynaers Institute – which is believed to be the sector’s largest private innovation and testing centre – located in Duffel, Belgium.

The company is the market leader in Belgium and has established a strong market position in the 40 countries where it has its own offices. In addition, Reynaers, which has around 1,700 employees throughout the world, exports to more than 70 countries on five continents.

RME’s headquarters was established in Bahrain in 2004 to provide hi-tech aluminium architectural solutions for the growing construction needs of the region.
