Work is in progress to set up 11 hotels to keep pace with the tourism development in the wilayats of Al Buraimi, Mahdha and Al Suninnah in Oman, it has been revealed.
Zahran bin Mohammed Al Nabhani, director of tourism department in the Governorate of Al Buraimi, said that the private sector is currently implementing five hotels of various categories, in addition to the Al Salam resort; five standard to deluxe hotel apartments projects; and a luxury tourism camp, according to an Oman News Agency report. The number of licensed hotel facilities in the governorate at present stands at 28.
