Commercial Real Estate Company (Al Tijaria) has announced the completion of structural construction work on the ‘Symphony Tower Al Tijaria’, one of the tallest residential buildings in Bahrain and its first project in the country.

Work on the project, valued at BD21 million ($55.5 million), started in May 2017 with Fundament as the main contractor and Arab Architects as the main consultant and it is scheduled for completion in December 2019.

Located in the heart of Manama on a strategic site overlooking the King Hamad Causeway that connects the capital with Muharraq, the project is positioned next to the Diplomatic area on a 3,856-sq-m site beside the Beit Al Quran. It is being built in close proximity to numerous commercial and tourist attractions, including Bahrain National Museum, Moda Mall, The Avenues Bahrain, Bahrain Bay, Bahrain City Centre and Seef District.

The tower will offer six levels of car-parking slots.

The tower soars to a height of 46 floors and will offer a total of 351 flats over 39 floors, comprising three-, two-, one-bedroom and studio apartments that offer panoramic views of the sea and the city.

The concrete-framed structure will incorporate six levels of car-parking providing a total of 468 parking slots, and a floor housing the gym and swimming pools.

“The Symphony Tower Al Tijaria is an elegant and modern property and is unique in providing luxury with a variety of facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a wide arena for various sports activities such as tennis, basketball and volleyball, a coffee shop, a men’s health club and a women’s club,” says a spokeswoman for Al Tijaria.

“The unique architecture of the building and the multiple features combined position the tower as a landmark in contemporary living, providing luxury and comfort,” she adds.

Construction of the building structure was completed in November 2018 and work is currently under way on the installation of interior finishes for the luxury semi-furnished units, which comprises installation of cabinets, ceilings, tiles, countertops, fitted wardrobes and flooring work, kitchens and toilets.

The developer has also finished 80 per cent of the work on the mock-up apartment on the first residential floor, which is set to be launched this month (January 2019).

When work was launched on the Symphony Tower Al Tijaria in May 2017,  Bahrain witnessed the pouring of one of the largest raft foundations in the country, with over 4,400 cu m of concrete poured over a continuous period of 28 hours and around 360 workers working on site around the clock.

Al Tijaria is 100 per cent owned by the Kuwait-based Commercial Real Estate Company, which has already established a reputation in the region.

Founded in 1968, the company has completed a number of projects including Symphony Style Hotel Kuwait, Thatcher Residential Complex, and Symphony Style Mall.
