In line with its continued growth, the Belgium-based Reynaers Group has now become an umbrella group that enfolds its several diverse companies in three business units, namely aluminium architectural solutions, steel architectural solutions and building products.
According to Ali Khalaf, managing director, Reynaers Middle East, the Bahrain-headquartered regional office of Reynaers Aluminium, the news is important for its partners in the region since it signifies the business diversification, expansion and the strength of the group.
Reynaers Group will have a dedicated logo and website while the member companies will retain their brand identities.
“The different companies of the Reynaers Group complement each other perfectly. Reynaers Aluminium – which comprises the group’s aluminium architectural solutions business segment – offers a wide range of high-quality aluminium systems for windows, (sliding) doors and façades to more than 5,000 customers worldwide,” he said.
Reynaers Aluminium is a leading European specialist that manufactures and markets innovative and sustainable aluminium solutions for windows, doors, curtain-walls, sliding systems, sun-screening and conservatories.
Apart from a wide range of standard solutions, the company also develops tailor-made solutions for all market sectors – from residential to commercial and industrial projects. Reynaers’ high-quality systems meet the most stringent demands in terms of comfort, security, architectural design, and energy-efficiency. It acts as a valuable partner for architects, fabricators, solar installers, project developers, investors and end-users.
Other member companies of this business unit are ERAP, an insulation technology company for aluminium profiles; Alural and Europaint, two aluminium coaters; and ATA IT, a building software company.
Forster Profilsysteme, part of the group since January 2018, now constitutes the steel architectural solutions unit. The Swiss company specialises in solutions for interior and exterior joinery in high quality steel and stainless steel, with a focus on safety.
“The company’s expansion by acquisitions such as Forster Profilsysteme, which is a very well-known Swiss brand specialising in steel fire-rated doors and windows gives us a leverage in the market where our customers can choose systems with more than 30 and 60 minutes fire resistance. This means more choice for customers with the same level of quality that is maintained as a leading European brand,” Khalaf pointed out.
Meanwhile, the building products unit is made of complementary companies within Reynaers Group that meet local market needs, from specialists in surface treatments of profiles and accessories to the production of building products for the industry. These include Roval, a specialist in aluminium construction products for roofs and facades; Somalu, which offers aluminium joinery products; and Bloxer, an Italian brand that offers firewall and flame plate glazed frames and doors.
The Belgian group’s activities are aimed at increasing the value of buildings and improving the living and working environment of people, with a specific focus on sustainability and design. Innovation, automation and digital transformation are the cornerstones for the development of state-of-the-art products and services, says Khalaf.
Founded in 1965, the Reynaers Group is active in more than 70 countries worldwide with 40 subsidiaries, 2,200 employees and an annual turnover of €537 ($609 million) in 2018.
The Reynaers Campus located in Duffel, Belgium, is the corporate headquarters of the group.
“The campus is the inspiring and dynamic work environment of the Reynaers employees and a place for partners to experience the latest products and innovations in full interactivity,” said Khalaf.
