Edamah to start work on car park

Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah) said work will soon start on a new 5,700-sq-m multi-storey car park at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) in Manama following the signing of an agreement with Alghanah Group in this regard.

The multi-storey parking facility will come up to the northeast of the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), accommodating up to 600 vehicles, reported BNA. The project will be under the supervision of Edamah along with the chief consultant Mohammed Al Ghreeb – Architects and Engineers.

Work on the main construction phase was due to start late last month, paving the way for the second phase of the project which would last for 12 months, said Edamah CEO Amine Ahmed Al Arayyadh after inking the deal with  Alghanah Group CEO Mohammed Jameel Al Ghanah in the presence of Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Salah.

 

Eaton wins university lighting deal

Leading power management company Eaton said it has been awarded a key contract by Kuwait University to provide custom-designed, energy-efficient lighting solutions for its administration facility at Sabah Al Salem University City.

As part of the contract, Eaton will be working alongside its key partner Khabari International for the installation  of a range of luminaries including the bespoke ‘Koble’, designed and manufactured by Eaton’s UK Doncaster plant.

The administration facilities at Kuwait University will serve as the main gateway to the new campus. Eaton’s customised solution was tailored to the performance and effectiveness required by the project to complement the aesthetics of the building, mirroring the extensive double-height senate chamber and class leading facilities.

 

Tenders for KOM construction

Oman-based Shumookh Investment and Services Company, the investment arm of Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has floated tenders for construction of the sixth building within the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) in the sultanate’s capital, said a report.

The building, KOM 6, which will come up over a sprawling 51,000-sq-m area, is aimed at providing distinctive spaces and new services, reported Times of Oman.

The building will have a unique exterior design with contemporary architectural styles. It is expected to be completed in 2021.
