Al Bawani Company, a leading Saudi construction company, said it has won a contract from Asharqiya Chamber, one of the kingdom’s oldest and well-established service organisations, to build a new commercial tower in the Eastern Province.
The Al Kharwa Investment Tower project, which is being built at an investment of SR335 million ($83 million), will be located next to the headquarters of Asharqia president’s house.
The design of the project takes into account the various needs of the business sector and aims to facilitate its work, and improve performance, remarks Abdulhakim bin Hamad Al Khalidi, chairman of Asharqia, after signing the deal.
The signing ceremony was attended by Engineer Fakhr Al Shawaf, CEO of Al Bawani, and Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Ahmed AlMuhaidib, Bandar Al Abri, Saadoun Al Khalidi, Salah Al Qahtani, Dari Al Otaishan, Anoud Al Amah, Nasser Al Bajash, Wabel. Al Khalidi pointed out that the business sector believes that the investment environment in the kingdom is rich with potential and attractive to investors from different sectors.
“The project is seen as a distinctive addition to the development in the region and a vehicle to attract a variety of investments,” he states. “And the selection of a national company to implement this large project confirms the readiness of national institutions and companies and their ability to implement major national projects.”
