Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) boosted its services for the Hajj season by completing 13 new projects covering transmission and distribution to enhance the reliability of power supply.
The projects were carried out at a cost of SR1.2 billion ($319.96 million), said a Saudi Press Agency report.
Meanwhile, 1,616 engineers and technicians have been assigned the operational and maintenance tasks by the SEC in Makkah, the Holy Sites and Madinah.
The company is also expected to record 4,383 MW of peak load during Dhu’l-Hijjah compared to 4,301 MW last year, an increase of nearly two per cent, it said.
