Focus on innovation

Sigma Paints Middle East is returning to Saudi Build this year with renewed vigour, buoyed by the tremendous response the paints and coatings specialist received during its participation at last

year’s event.

“The response we got (last year) was very positive and we had many visitors interested in (our) paints and coatings. We managed to get many leads from our participation and that is why we decided to participate again this year,” says Bassem Al Masri, Sigma’s communication manager.

At Saudi Build, Sigma Paints will be promoting its entire range of products, including its latest innovations, as well as
its services.

Al Masri says the strength of the Saudi Build exhibition lies in its pulling power in attracting the right calibre of visitors.  In addition, the event enjoys a strategic location, being held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

This apart, the company’s participation at this leading construction exhibition is in line with its commitment to be in constant contact with its clients. “Our strategy of being close to our target audience, listening to their needs and introducing them to our latest products and services is also what has encouraged us to exhibit at Saudi Build,”
he adds.

Among its latest innovations are its Ultra-Cool coating with UZC tinting technology, which was developed in line with the Sigma Paints’ core values of innovation, dedication and offering durable protection.  This technological development has already been applied to various projects across Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.

Ultra-Cool technology is available for a wide range of Sigma’s exterior products. These include the Sigmacryl range, comprising Sigmacryl Flat, a high-quality flat decorative and protective emulsion type paint, conforming to Saso (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organisation) standards; Sigmacryl Semi Gloss and Semi Gloss Extra, which are decorative and protective emulsion paints providing a genuine semi-gloss finish; and Sigmacryl High Gloss, a decorative and protective emulsion paint providing a high gloss finish.

Sigma Paints has also boosted its offering for the decorative paints sector to include the high-end finishes Sigmulto Nujoum and Sigmulto Effino and, more recently, Sigmulto Safari, Sigmulto Fonoun Malaki and Sigmulto Nasayem.

The Sigmulto Safari is inspired by the African jungle and includes eight designs (zebra, tiger, python, leopard, giraffe, crocodile, elephant and python).

Sigmulto Fonoun Malaki draws inspiration from Italian and Arabian cultures and environments. The new decorative finish is a water-based pearlescent interior finish consisting of colour particles and is designed to create a glamorous effect.

The new line boasts a host of exclusive thematic colours — including Dazzling Mystery, Pure Emeralds, Ocean Tranquility, Sunshine Brightness and Mystical Nights — which boost the choice of colours in the entire Fonoun range to 54. They can be used with three existing Fonoun base colours, are washable, easy to apply, non-toxic, low odour and conform to environmental specifications.

According to Al Masri, Sigmulto Fonoun Malaki combines through its striking shades the best of Arabian heritage with Italian artistry, satisfying the Saudi customer’s aspirations for stylish concepts inspired from local heritage and traditions.

Another new product is Amouage Tijan Royal and the paint specialist already has plans in place to introduce other new high-end finishes over the course of this year.
