Bluewater Bio to upgrade Tubli plant

UK-based Bluewater Bio said it has secured a contract for the major upgradation of Tubli Reclaimed Water Production Centre in Bahrain.

 As per the deal, Bluewater Bio will act as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor and technology supplier to help more than double the plant’s capacity for water reuse.

The Bluewater Bio solution, based on its proprietary Hybacs secondary treatment process, involves the conversion of two of the 10 aeration lanes and four of the 12 clarifiers into a Hybacs plant, by installing 42 smart units upstream of the aeration lanes, said the UK company.

 

NFF to set up new plant in Oman

Oman’s National Fibre Glass Factory (NFF), a leading manufacturer of glass-reinforced plastics and glass-reinforced concrete, is set to build a new manufacturing plant at the Khazaen Economic City located in the sultanate’s Barka region, said a report.

NFF will be pumping over RO1.5 million ($3.8 million) into the new facility which will introduce a new line of products to support the growing demand for glass-reinforced plastics used in commercial and residential construction across the sultanate, reported the Oman Observer.

The new line at Khazaen will produce high-quality swimming pool products that are durable, easy to use and flexible in design and size.

 

 Two healthcare projects for Bahrain

Two new health projects, the first of their kind in Bahrain, were announced at the opening of the Business Development and Investment Forum and Expo (BDFEX 2019) for the health and medical industries last month.

 The first is a complex of private and integrated medical clinics, and the second is an industrial zone for health and medical industries, revealed the organising committee of the event.

The 10,000-sq-m medical clinic complex consists of six floors, in addition to two underground service floors, an emergency entrance and a heliport. The complex will also include clinics in various specialisation open for freehold ownership or renting, equipped with all the necessary facilities from operation rooms, emergency department, medical and radiology laboratories, as well as admission rooms and suites.

The second project is  a complex for light and medium medical industries such as injections, sterilisers and other medical solutions and supplies.
