The second best contender for the project was another Turkish company Kolin with a bid amount of KD193.5 million, reported Arab Times, citing sources.
The scope of work includes construction of a parking area, outdoor works and landscaping, a sewage and rainwater treatment plant, storage tanks, roads, and multi-level bridges that will connect to Building 2 under construction, it added.
Limak Holding and local construction firm Kharafi National are jointly building Kuwait International Airport’s new Passenger Terminal Two, after bidding KD1.312 billion for the work.
On completion, the capacity of the airport will grow three-fold to 25 million passengers a year. The terminal is being designed to accommodate all aircraft types through 51 gates and stands.
