Germany-headquartered door manufacturer Hormann has launched its new acoustic Hinged Doors (HD) that are claimed to block out all sounds from the exteriors.
The door, which has a Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating up to 45 dB, guarantees noiseless and peaceful interiors at all times, according to a Dubai-based senior official of the leading door manufacturer.
Darius Khanloo, managing director, Hormann Middle East & Africa, says: “Our HD acoustic doors are an ideal cost-effective solution for hotels, residential buildings, conference rooms, or any space that needs to be soundproof. The door has a bonus feature, which is its fire safety properties, to ensure complete peace of mind.”
The new HD acoustic door is fire-resistant offering a fire rating up to 240 minutes. The door has been tested in the UK and certified by Acoustic Logic and provides effective sound insulation in places that are prone to feature high noise levels such as residential and commercial buildings, health-care facilities, public buildings, and others.
Meanwhile, in line with demands for greater speed and energy efficiency, Hormann has upgraded its garage door operators with new fourth-generation models that are more energy efficient and faster to operate than previous versions.
The new Promatic 4 operator is up to 40 per cent faster and Supramatic E4 and Supramatic P4 are 75 per cent faster, when opening a door, in comparison to ProMatic series 3, according to Khanloo.
“They also stand out for their energy-efficient LED lighting, ensuring even garage illumination, and use less than 1-watt power consumption when in standby mode,” he says.
Another significant factor is the new teach-in process, he adds. “Previously, one had to press the transmitter button twice briefly to perform a command; now the time taken to action a command is just around a few seconds,” he points out.
Khanloo says these developments are in line with its focus on investing in developing the fastest, quietest and most reliable door openers. “With the Promatic 4 and Supramatic 4, we have also achieved greater energy efficiency. Both can be operated via existing smarthome systems via an app on a smartphone or tablet, making life easier,” he explains.
Unlike the Promatic 4 operator, the Supramatic 4 has a bluetooth receiver which can be switched on or off using Hormann Bluesecur app on a smartphone.
All three operators have larger and more convenient connection compartments with easy-to-reach connections.
