Expo 2020 Countdown

UPS, an American multinational package delivery and supply chain management company, said it has completed a series of multi-modal deliveries for Expo 2020 Dubai’s iconic entry portals in the run-up to the official opening of the world-class event in October this year.

Expo 2020 is expected to mark yet another first in the series of world-class events with each of the 192 participating nations having its own pavilion – a dedicated space to showcase the best of its culture and traditions, and enabling visitors to discover the greatest inventions and future technology from around the world.

Italy has broken ground on its Dubai Expo 2020 country pavilion being set up under the theme ‘Beauty connects people’ that will showcase its finest minds, talent and expertise and feature the Innovation Hub, an innovatively-designed structure inspired by the most advanced sustainability and circular economy standards.

UAE-based design practice MEAN (Middle East Architecture Network) has proposed a sculptural 3D-printed pavilion for prominent traffic roundabouts on site to welcome visitors to the Expo 2020 Dubai, which raises its curtains in October.

Poland has broken ground on its country pavilion for the Expo 2020 event, which is being set up under the theme ‘Creativity inspired by nature’. The tree-like structure, which highlights the large-scale migration of birds from the European nation to the Arab world, has been designed by Warsaw-based architectural studio WXCA.
