Dubai Design Week plans a hybrid event

Featuring a conceptual exhibition, a digital fair, an online talks programme and tailor-made onsite brand experiences, the region’s leading design trade fair Downtown Design’s hybrid programme will help the design industry to reconnect and engage across digital and physical platforms.

In light of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and in keeping with physical distancing measures, the event will take place at the Design Quarter in Dubai Design District (d3) across the entire duration of Dubai Design Week (November 9 to 14).

Comprising four elements, the programme is curated to help both architects and interior designers community and brands gain inspiration and insight, network and navigate the new design landscape.

  • Conceptual exhibition: Entitled ‘The Shape of Things to Come’, the expo invites the region’s architects and interior designers to imagine how we will work, live and play in a post-pandemic world. 
  • A digital fair:  This digital showcase allows design professionals and enthusiasts to discover the latest collections and trends.
  • Physical brand activations: Downtown Design will curate opportunities for brands looking to reconnect on the ground. Participating brands will benefit from access to both key trade and consumer audience, and the B2B programme.
  • Online talks programme: The Forum feature experts spotlighting the new value system that has evolved as a positive response to the crisis.
