Seef Properties, an integrated real estate development company in Bahrain, says work is nearing completion on its mixed-use project, Al Liwan, coming up at Al Hamala area of the kingdom’s Northern Governorate.
A first-of-its-kind project in Bahrain, Al Liwan will boast a combination of topnotch commercial, entertainment, and housing facilities. The 122,000-sq-m development features a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and retail stores topped with 117 three-storey residential units that overlook stunning views.
Al Liwan also includes a state-of-the-art cinema theatre, a family entertainment centre as well as open areas and boulevards.
With work well under way, the project is expected to open its doors by the first quarter of 2021.
Inspired by Bahrain’s deep-rooted Arabian culture, the name Al Liwan reflects cohesion, unity and getting together, as it represents the courtyard in the centre of old houses in this region, where the entire family used to gather to eat, chat and receive guests.
“This reflects the essence of Al Liwan project, giving people a space to gather in a family atmosphere,” says Ahmed Yusuf, Seef Properties CEO.
According to Seef, the project includes abundant green landscaping and waterfronts, granting residents, visitors and tourists the opportunity to experience tranquil atmosphere.
Yusuf says: “Al Liwan is unquestionably a valuable addition to the tourist attractions in Bahrain, as it is the first multipurpose project of its kind in the country, featuring a distinctive architecture and comprising a unique combination of entertainment and shopping elements, in addition to various restaurants and cafes.”
Al Liwan reflects Seef’s commitment to pursue unparalleled development projects that reinforce the kingdom’s urban development, as well as boost the tourism and economic sectors, he adds.
