Arada, a leading property developer in Sharjah, has launched its new creative, upscale neighbourhood, Naseej District, that celebrates art, design and culture within its Dh24-billion ($6.7 billion) Aljada megaproject located in the heart of New Sharjah.
Naseej (fabric in Arabic), reflects the developer’s aspiration to weave together diverse skills, talents and backgrounds to turn the cultural district into a coherent social space for the creative community in Sharjah, says Arada.
Comprising 16 apartment buildings designed in a contemporary style and accompanied by anchor cultural attractions, Naseej District will also be bolstered by a range of creative events that will encourage both residents and visitors to collaborate and learn, it states.
Announcing the launch, Chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi says: “The introduction of Naseej District is another step in Sharjah’s journey to embrace art and culture as a way of living. We are working to curate a thriving community that will house some of the region’s finest creative talent, while also becoming a destination for those who seek authentic and engaging cultural activities.
“With the launch of Naseej District, we are continuing to cater to strong demand from investors and end-users who are seeking new and upscale standards for urban design, exceptional build quality and a truly transformative living experience at the heart of Aljada.”
Tiraz is the first residential building to go on sale at Naseej District. Featuring a range of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, it contains 128 units in total, which overlook open courtyards and garden spaces, says Sheikh Sultan.
“Smart home features come as standard at all Tiraz apartments, and residents can also enjoy exclusive access to a health club, two swimming pools, children’s play areas and a family barbecue space,” he states.
Construction on Naseej District will begin in the second quarter, and the first residential units will be delivered in 2023.
Sheikh Sultan says the new creative neighbourhood boasts an iconic and beautifully designed building that will incorporate galleries, a museum and exhibition space.
“An architectural statement in itself, this showpiece building will be a focal point for learning, with permanent exhibits focusing on topics such as Sharjah’s growth story and climate change,” he added.
Also located within the neighbourhood is the Vida Aljada complex, part of Arada’s partnership with Emaar Hospitality Group, which includes a hotel, branded residences and a range of exciting dining and retail options.
