Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar, the GCC region’s largest distributor in the heavy equipment market, currently has a promotional offer on two loaders from Caterpillar – the Cat 950 GC wheel loader and 216 B3 skid-steer model.

The Cat 950 GC wheel loader is claimed to be a “game-changer”, offering the opportunity to move more material in less time, at a lower cost per ton, for a faster return on equipment investment, according to Samer Ismail, Product Manager – Earthmoving & Excavation, Al-Bahar.

Al-Bahar – which has been the exclusive dealer in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman for Cat products since 1959 –says Caterpillar’s most popular loaders in the GCC region are the 950GC, 950L, 962L, 966GC, 966L and 980L – a fact that is confirmed by some of the recent orders received by the Sharjah-based Al- Bahar.

“Cat wheel loaders are the best in class, leading the market thanks to their extraordinary durability, high performance and super productivity,” Ismail claims, adding that the GC machines are ideal for those looking for machines that are durable, fuel competitive and easy to use.

The design of the 950 GC, which was launched in the region in late 2019, leverages proven Cat components and technology to meet customer needs. Reliable performance, low fuel consumption and ease of operation are the main attributes of the machine, Ismail points out.

“Designed to deliver maximum efficiency, Cat 950 GC assures maximum productivity for everyday operations. It comes with performance series buckets; Z-bar linkage for better bucket loading; and load-sensing hydraulics for better balance,” he explains.

Powered by the renowned Cat C7.1 engine, it has an Engine Idle Management System, which minimises fuel consumption. Load-sensing hydraulics produce flow and pressure for the implement system upon demand and only in amounts necessary to perform the needed work functions.

“The 950 GC is the machine of choice for a customer looking for an easy-to-use machine with the right acquisition costs. It is a heavy-duty machine and it works well for all type of applications in our region,” Ismail states.

Under the current offer from Al-Bahar, which is valid until the end of July this year, customers who purchase the GC model get a complimentary customer value agreement (CVA) for parts and service and a free equipment protection plan (EPP) for two years or 4,000 hours.

Meanwhile, customers who purchase a new Cat 216 B3 skid steer loader are offered a complimentary preventive maintenance (PM) kit (1,000 hours) and EPP for two years or 3,000 hours.

The Cat 216 B3 skid steer loader’s high horsepower and torque deliver outstanding performance, while its advanced hydraulic system provides maximum power and reliability for demanding applications, he says. The machine features a spacious, comfortable cab and ergonomic, low-effort joystick controls, which reduce operator fatigue.

Caterpillar’s broad range of performance-matched work tools make the Cat skid-steer loader the most versatile machine on the job site, Ismail says.

The promotional offer is available until the end of April and can be bundled with a special discount on work tools when purchased along with a new machine.

According to Ismail, all Cat machines are built to operate in all kinds of applications and projects. Caterpillar’s pre-production units are put through very harsh applications all over the world to ensure their performance and durability before any new series get released, he points out.

In the region, Al-Bahar provides sales of new machines as well as rental and used machines. Caterpillar’s superior quality equipment is backed by Al-Bahar with a swift response to client enquiries whether it is an order for new machines or after-sales support.

“We have a robust website to take online enquiries, along with all our contacts listed for easy access to our sales teams. When it comes to parts availability, we have an online portal for ordering parts with support through live chat and WhatsApp,” Ismail concludes.
