Index, the largest and longest running collection of interior products for trade buyers in the Middle East region, will be back this year in style at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
To be held from May 31 to June 2, the event is co-located with The Hotel Show, Workspace and The Leisure Show, offering increased value with access to all shows with a single entrance badge.
This announcement allows the interiors industry to meet once again, and points to a positive new chapter for both Index and the regional design community after a highly challenging period.
Index has enjoyed long-term success as the leading platform that connects architects, designers, buyers, developers and distributors with local and international furniture, lighting, décor and surface material brands, trend-setting start-ups and the biggest international names in the interior furnishings and fit-out scene for every type of project.
The first show of its kind to take place in close to two years globally, this show will allow thousands of attendees and exhibitors the chance to interact safely in a face-to-face setting, gaining valuable news, insights and access to the latest industry developments.
The announcement comes after the successful hosting of large-scale trade shows, Gitex Technology Week and Gulfood in recent months, both held at Dubai World Trade Centre, a venue which has been awarded Covid safe certification.
Katie McBride, the Index Event Director, said: “We are delighted that Index will return this year. Now more than ever, the industry needs a platform from which to connect, and we are ready to allow our community the chance to finally meet in a controlled and safe environment, to showcase their innovations and successes from the past 24 months and to discuss how the market has evolved during the Covid-19 era.”
“We are very much a visual and physical sector and also thrive in challenging conditions. As such, Index is perfectly timed to allow us to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the GCC’s rapid development goals. We are confident that all who visit us in 2021 will gain rich inspiration and leave furnished with new ideas, products and contacts.”
According to her, this year visitors can expect to find a show unlike previous editions, with ample social-distancing and with new seminars, experiences and opportunities to network and re-connect after a long pause.
“Index is supported by the great and the good of the global and regional design scene, welcoming Cosentino, DuPont Corian, Eichholtz, Emkay, Geberit, Presto, Shure , Scientechnic, and VitrA alongside hundreds of other regional and international brands, designers and manufacturers,” she added.
